| dc.description | This research work on “Motivation in Academic Performance” developed in Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi, with students from fifth grade A at “Once de Noviembre” Educational Unit. It was aimed at determining the existing relationship between motivation and academic performance. Through data taken from diverse sources, the importance of motivating learners to achieve a better academic performance and set interest in learning was verified; a survey and an interview were conducted to teaching staff as so as to get the interpretation of data, which in turn allowed the reliability of this study. Results point out to assert that children have got a lack of motivation from their teacher, who later claimed that the excessive documentation to be presented as support of pedagogic activity was a setback preventing her from searching innovative methods that help to motivate her students in the classroom which turns education into traditional and monotonous. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación sobre la “Motivación en el Rendimiento Académico” se desarrolló en los estudiantes del Quinto Año de Educación Básica paralelo “A” de la Unidad Educativa “Once de Noviembre” del cantón Latacunga, provincia de Cotopaxi, cuyo objetivo, fue determinar la relación que existe entre la motivación y el rendimiento académico, mediante la información obtenida de diversas fuentes se pudo constatar la importancia de motivar a los educandos para que logren un mejor rendimiento académico y despierten el interés por aprender, se aplicó una encuesta a los discentes y la entrevista a la docente para obtener la interpretación de datos que garanticen la fiabilidad del estudio, como resultado se obtuvo la escasa motivación que reciben los niños y niñas por parte de la docente, la que manifestó el exceso de documentos que deben presentar como respaldo de su actividad pedagógica, por ende, dispone de poco tiempo para buscar métodos innovadores que motiven a los estudiantes en el aula, prevaleciendo una educación tradicional y monótona…. | es_ES |
