    Mejoramiento del método de trabajo en el área de bodega en la empresa importadora Alvarado

    The main objective of this currently research is to improve the work method by increasing productivity in the warehouse area of the Importadora Alvarado CÍA company. LTDA., through reducing unproductive times using time study techniques. The research, with a qualitative quantitative approach, identified problems such as shipping delays, damage of merchandise and insufficient space. The ABC classification method was applied, selecting 50% of group A, with special attention to the rear Lighthouse due to its high demand. The analysis showed a standard time of 42.17 minutes per unit and a daily production of 11 units. The improvement proposal includes the creation of a new storage warehouse and the optimization of the workflow. Thanks to the software simulation, FlexSim showed a reduction in the standard time to 34.27 minutes, allowing daily production to be increased to 14 units, which generates a 23% increase in productivity. In addition, the new warehouse has been designed with a strategic location, which will improve punctuality in shipments and inventory management, reducing nonconformities and damage to products, which will result in greater customer satisfaction.
