| dc.description | The present investigation was carried out in the Province of Cotopaxi, LatacungaCanton, Eloy AlfaroParish, Salache TanilomaNeighborhood. The main objective of this search was to evaluate the effect of L - carnitine in the productive answer administered in piglets from 21 days until60 days of age, determining its influence in the productive variables as: weight gain of, nutritious conversion, thickness of body fat in specific areas of localization and cost - benefitrelationship. A Complete Design was managed at random, where two treatments were proven that resulted of the combination of the commercial balanced administration and the addition for 20 days of a commercial additive that in its composition has the presence of L- carnitine; Treatment 1 (1 ml of L - carnitine / administered orally/day/piglet); Treatment 2 (2 ml of L - carnitine / administered orally/day/piglet); Treatment 3 (as treatment control). The investigation was carried out with five observations for each treatment and the experimental unit was constituted by a pig, in total 15 castrated male pigs of Landrace race,after the weaning at the 21 days began with the rehearsal that lasted 19 weeks. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se realizó en la provincia de Cotopaxi, Cantón Latacunga, Parroquia Eloy Alfaro, Barrio Salache Taniloma. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto de L - carnitina en la respuesta productiva administrada en lechones desde los 21 días hasta los 60 días de edad, determinando su influencia en las variables productivas como: incremento de peso, conversión alimenticia, espesor de la grasa corporal en áreas específicas de localización y relación costo - beneficio. Se manejó un Diseño Completo al Azar, donde se probaron 2 tratamientos, que resultaron de la combinación de la administración de un balanceado comercial y la adición por 20 días de un aditivo comercial que en su composición tiene la presencia de L- carnitina; Tratamiento 1 (1 ml de L- carnitina /vía oral/día/lechón); Tratamiento 2 (2 ml de L- carnitina /vía oral/día/lechón); Tratamiento 3 (como tratamiento testigo).
