- ItemDiseño e implementación de una pico central hidroeléctrica de 500 w mediante una turbina turgo en el sector Guadalupe.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Toapanta Guano, Víctor Marcelo; Gallardo Molina, Cristian FabiánThis thesis describes in detail the design and implementation of a hydroelectric power plant peak, whose objective is to take advantage of the natural resource of water to supply electricity in a specific location of the "Guadalupe" sector, which currently lacks electricity supply provided by the company in charge of providing this service. The main objective is to demonstrate that a 500 W hydroelectric power plant peak can provide a sustainable and efficient source of electrical energy for rural communities with limited access to the electricity grid. The methodology adopted is articulated in several fundamental stages. Firstly, the collection of hydrological and geographical data was carried out, obtaining a flow rate of 2 L/s and a waterfall of 31 m, parameters considered optimal for the acquired Microhydraulics. During the design phase, the most suitable materials and technologies were carefully selected, including 1 1/5” high density polyethylene pipe, which allowed to maintain an operating pressure of 44.1 PSI and generate the necessary energy. The implementation of the system was executed successfully, reaching an electric power of 0.5 kW, thus fulfilling the planned 500 W. During the execution stage, the necessary infrastructure was built, followed by preliminary tests and adjustments according to the results obtained. Finally, it was concluded that the system operated stably and efficiently, maintaining a frequency of 60 Hz and a voltage of 124.9 V, in optimal conditions when opening the valve up to 30%, equivalent to 1.5 turns.
