The evaluation process is essential in all human activity, even more so when what needs to be evaluated is the human resource. Evaluation involves a series of constituent elements that, when applied technically, bring it closer to the truth of a reality. This research work aims to evaluate the development of communication skills in English, since there is no practical application of the language in real situations; To this end, the different definitions, types, agents and moments of evaluation are detailed, as well as the techniques and instruments used by the evaluation process to issue a value judgment. To achieve this effect, the aforementioned proposal was based on qualitative research, the applicability and functionality of the methods and techniques that were used allowed to obtain knowledge of the real situation. Validity and reliability were determined under the support of the instruments that were applied.
