(Ecuador : Pujilí : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024) Patricio Alexander, Basantes Mayorga; Dennis German, Yugsi Andino; Riera Montenegro, Mayra Verónica
The research project titled " The plastic arts and Motivation in Seventh Grade Students of Basic Education, Parallel Groups 'A' and 'B'" aims to develop the plastic arts arts as a tool for motivating students at the "Provincia de Cotopaxi" Educational Unit. The methodology used was based on an interpretive paradigm, adopting a qualitative approach. The methods of observation, scientific research (inductive), and descriptive methods were employed, utilizing content analysis as the research design. The study also included both documentary and field research. Techniques such as observation and interviews were applied to gather relevant data on the relationship between plastic arts arts and student motivation. The study's results indicated that students need to strengthen their artistic skills and that integrating plastic arts arts-based methodologies, using drawing and painting, can significantly enhance their motivation and improve their learning process. In response to these findings, a pedagogical proposal was developed, including an artistic activity guide comprising eight activities, designed to foster motivation and academic engagement among seventh-grade students. In conclusion, the research highlights the importance of plastic arts arts as an essential pedagogical tool that not only contributes to the development of creativity and motor skills but also strengthens motivation and improves academic performance within the school environment.
