The problem is due to the absence of a formal record of procedures during production, as well as the lack of an adequate methodology to control and optimize each process. The objective was to design a process management system to improve productivity in the Lush Gardens company. A qualitative approach, applied research, bibliography and the deductive method were used to collect information and adapt to the 25-question interview technique directed to Ms. Lucía, the company's manager. It turned out that the organizational audit of Lush Gardens, carried out through an interview with the manager Lucía Villacis, revealed that the company complies with the licenses and regulations that guarantee its legality and differentiation from traditional marijuana. The company has not faced legal problems and contributes significantly to the social and economic development of the local community by creating jobs and marketing cannabis-derived products locally and internationally. In addition, it was concluded that Lush Gardens is involved in research into the therapeutic benefits of cannabis, and is considering expansion by opening branches. This expansion will require a thorough strategic assessment to ensure its viability and effectiveness.
- Item“Propuesta de un plan de mantenimiento en el área de producción de la empresa MEGACONS”.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Suntaxi Gualotuña, Jonathan Mauricio; Toasa Acurio, Diego Fernando; Monga Sánchez, Diego PaulThe research aims to develop a maintenance plan for the production area of Megacons, a company dedicated to the manufacture and maintenance of trailer platforms. The company faces challenges such as a lack of technical documentation, a dusty environment, and the absence of a designated maintenance area, leading to excessive reliance on corrective maintenance, which has caused significant damage and unplanned downtime affecting productivity. The maintenance plan is based on an equipment criticality analysis, conducted through process and equipment characterization. Since the company lacked crucial information, flowcharts were created for planning, design, material receipt, and production processes, as well as a layout integrating the location and distribution of equipment and services. Field research allowed for the identification and classification of equipment, resulting in systematic coding and a criticality analysis highlighting two critical pieces of equipment: the impact wrench (52) and the oxy-fuel cutting tool (60), and "Important" equipment such as the Campbell Compressor, Lincoln Welder, and Ingco Electric Generator. Key indicators like MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) were identified for a more in-depth analysis and continuous improvement. The result is a detailed maintenance plan based on Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology, including preventive, predictive, and corrective strategies, the creation of technical datasheets, identification of failure modes, and definition of maintenance routes and operational responsibilities, with the aim of improving equipment management and operation.
