    The growth of the population and the emergence of multiple needs such as the execution of sewage works, drinking water, local roads, bridges, etc. This forced its representatives to carry out the necessary procedures to achieve the Canton rank. Valencia was a parish that belonged to the Quevedo Canton, so they depended economically on it. The first step taken by the Parish Council was the nomination of a Pro-Cantonization committee, with Mr. Jorge Troya being elected as President, who began his contacts at the political and governmental level with the purpose of gathering information that would allow the presentation of documentation with the respective Cantonization project. Finally, the National Congress, and Dr. Fabián Alarcón being its President, approved in the 2nd and final debate the creation of the Canton of Valencia on December 13, 1995. The Municipality of Valencia has several computer equipment which is distributed in all its offices. These computers work individually, they are for the exclusive use of each worker, which does not allow sharing resources (files, folders, printers, scanner, fax, etc.), which makes it difficult to obtain information.
