    Identificación de bacterias causantes de problemas respiratorios en cuyes del cantón Latacunga.

    This research aimed to identify the bacteria that cause respiratory problems in guinea pigs in the Latacunga canton by applying a protocol of bacterial isolation and biochemical bacterial isolation and biochemical tests. For this purpose, 53 samples from the trachea, lung, and nasal secretion were studied, executing a microbiological analysis of isolation of gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria for the gram-negative bacteria for identification, and biochemical tests were carried out. Results showed the prevalence of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria in 21 samples corresponding to Staphylococcus spp (39.62%); Klebsiella spp eight samples (15.09%); Streptococcus spp six samples (11.32%); Proteus spp five samples (9.43%); Pasteurella spp four samples (7.54%); with a total of 3 samples Bacillus spp. Bacillus spp and E.coli spp had three samples (5.66%); finally, samples Actinomyces spp, Trueperella spp, and Citrobacter spp (1.88%). As for the presence of mono-infection bacterial infections were 18(33,96%) Staphylococcus spp; mixed infections, 14 (26,41%) Staphylococcus spp and Klebsiella spp; multiple infections, 21 (39,62%) Staphylococcus spp Proteus spp, E. coli spp. Their synergistic interaction between these pathogens can intensify the severity of infections. Prevalence of gram-positive Staphylococcus spp in a large majority (65.62%). spp with 65.62% and the gram-negative bacteria Klebsiella spp with 38.09%. within which are considered opportunistic agents Citrobacter spp Acynomices spp with 1.88%. agents that may be present in the digestive tract and which, by reducing the immune system, can penetrate the digestive; the immune system can penetrate the tissues and spread to the respiratory tract.
